Sharon Jensen-Cody, PhD
Birth Doula, Pediatric Sleep Consultant
I’m Sharon & I share my life with my wonderful husband and our two amazing kids. My journey into birth-work stems from a deep-rooted passion that took hold of me at a young age when I witnessed my sister giving birth. The duality of the experience, both challenging & profoundly beautiful, left a mark on me. With a PhD in Molecular Medicine, I made the decision to step away from the laboratory to pursue my calling in supporting expectant parents as they navigate the transformative journey of pregnancy, birth, & postpartum. My mission as an evidence-based Birth Doula is rooted in empowering women to shape their birth experiences according to their desires. I am dedicated to championing maternal-fetal health & providing unwavering support to new parents as they embark on one of life's most incredible journeys.

Chloe Hess
Birth & Postpartum Doula, Newborn Care Specialist, Lactation Counselor
I’m Chloe! I’ve always found joy in supporting families during the early stages of parenthood. My passion for birth & babies deepened when I witnessed my mom’s birth experience. I had the unique opportunity to support her through that experience. When I became a big sister to five (including a set of twins!), I naturally stepped into a nurturing “mini mom” role. Welcoming newborn twins into our family gave me my first real exposure to postpartum care. I saw firsthand just how powerful and essential that kind of help is during such a big life transition. I initially set out to become a labor and delivery nurse. I earned my CNA license, worked at Children’s Hospital during college, & volunteered in the labor and delivery unit to gain hands-on experience wherever I could.

Janai Orr
Birth Doula , Postpartum Doula, CLC, CLE, CBE, Bellibind Specialist
I’m a mama to two beautiful girls who have shaped so much of who I am & the work I do. I felt called to birth-work after giving birth to my oldest 10 years ago & experiencing firsthand what it felt like to lack the support & advocacy I truly needed. That experience deepened my commitment to walking alongside families with compassion and presence. As a doula, I’m known for my warm, grounding presence and for creating a safe and affirming space for the families I support. I blend evidence-based knowledge with intuitive care, ensuring each family feels informed, empowered, and nurtured throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. In addition to my doula work, I am a trained lactation consultant and love helping families feel confident & supported as they begin their feeding journey.

Glory Tobiason, PhD
Birth Doula CD(DONA), Postpartum Doula PCD(DONA)
Hi, I’m Glo. I love babies, but I love supporting the people who birth and parent them even more. One thing that sets me apart from a lot of doulas is my PhD in Research Methods. I’m able to dive deep into the evidence that matters to my clients (e.g., the risks and benefits of pacifier use, what the 2018 ARRIVE Trial actually showed about elective induction, etc.). And I’m also able to “translate” that evidence from academic jargon into usable, practical information. This is my third career (after elementary school teacher and university faculty), and it’s a perfect fit.
Regardless of how you want to do this, my job is the same: make sure you know what your options are and what to expect… and then support your decisions wholeheartedly.

Kiley Tkaczyk
Birth & Postpartum Doula, Preconception Guide, Birth Photographer
Hi, I’m Kiley! I’m a mom with a background in healthcare, focused on women's health & family building. Paired with years immersed in the study of birth, my journey has evolved into a passionate exploration of the entire process from preconception to postpartum. Throughout my tenure, I experienced a profound paradigm shift, recognizing that there’s infinitely more to wellbeing than just the physiological aspects, prompting an exploration at a deeper level. This moment also ignited a connection to the initiation of childbirth & an enhanced reverence for the inherent strength within every woman. I believe in bringing intention & presence to every phase of this journey, honoring that consciousness in preconception, pregnancy, birth, & postpartum looks different for each individual.

Alexandra Spencer
Full Spectrum Birth & Postpartum Doula
Hello, I’m Alexandra & I’m a full-spectrum doula. I worked as a nanny for over a decade before I decided to follow my long-time fascination with birth and become a doula. It is truly an honor and a joy for me to support parents, families, and babies in my community. As a doula, my approach is based in person-centered, identity-affirming, evidence-based care. I focus on helping families be seen, supported, empowered, & informed through the entire pregnancy, birth, & postpartum experience. My support thrives through building relationship, so that I can know how best to provide encouragement, information, & care to facilitate the most empowered experience possible. When I’m not supporting families I can be found wandering some of Ventura County’s beautiful trail systems, line dancing, or attending a book club.

Michelle Thorsen
Birth Doula & Postpartum Doula
Hello! I’m Michelle & I’ve been a birth & postpartum doula since 2020. I have always been fascinated by birth & babies. I studied early childhood development & was a preschool teacher for ten years. As much as I enjoyed that, I decided I wanted to focus more on supporting moms & families in a different way. I naturally fell into the doula roll after supporting my friends & family through pregnancy, birth and newborn stage. Being present and involved during pregnancy and birth is truly the biggest honor and witnessing a new soul join the world never loses its magic for me. Whatever your dream birth scenario is, I want to help support that anyway I can, and have been lucky enough to support families through hospital births (with and without epidurals), home births, & birth centers. Outside of doula work, I enjoy spending my time with my family, working out, cooking & spending time outside.

Rechelle Patterson
Postpartum Doula
Hi, I’m Rechelle. I grew up in an underserved community that shaped my commitment to equity in maternal health. My passion for doula work began with experience advocating for relatives with special needs, which taught me early on the importance of compassionate, accessible support. Before becoming a doula, I completed pre-med coursework and interned with organizations such as Black Infant Health, Future Physician Leaders, and community health programs across Southern California. Those experiences gave me a deep understanding of the disparities that birthing people face, especially within marginalized communities. I eventually pivoted to doula work to create more meaningful, one-on-one relationships with the families I support. My mission is simple: To reduce maternal health disparities while helping families feel informed, supported, & empowered during postpartum.

Angelica Covarrubias
Perinatal Fitness Specialist & Wellness Coach
For nearly a decade, I’ve dedicated my career to helping women reconnect with, restore, & reclaim their bodies throughout motherhood. As a certified pre- & postnatal trainer & a mom of two, I understand how transformative the right movement can be. During my first pregnancy, I struggled to find a trainer who truly supported pregnant women. Told not to exercise, my body craved movement. Once I started training, I felt strong, confident, and deeply connected. After birth, my recovery was so remarkable I knew I had to help others. In my second pregnancy, post-birth I faced challenges like diastasis recti, incontinence, back pain, and pelvic prolapse. Using the methods I teach, I fully healed and strengthened my body, deepening my commitment to helping others. My approach blends science-backed movement, functional strength training, and nervous system regulation to rebuild women’s bodies from the inside out.
